This year we have nearly 50 graduate and undergraduate students present their research in both a poster session and oral presentations. The best graduates and undergraduates receive cash prizes and are judged not only on their content but also their science communications skills. This year's winners covered a breadth of topics, including soil microbes, fecal contamination in irrigation water, and issues surrounding mining pollution for both environments and local communities.
