Christian Ayala-Ortiz

My research focuses in studying the interaction between the environment and the microbial communities and how it affects carbon and nutrient cycling. My work involves the use of "omics", specially metabolomics, and bioinformatic tools to better understand the biochemical processes that occur in natural ecosystems.
