I research per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and their fate and transport in subsurface environments. PFAS are concerning contaminants due to their persistent nature, adverse human health impacts, and widespread occurrence in the environment. I  investigate what may impact PFAS in the subsurface, including PFAS chemical properties, porous media properties, solution properties, and co-contaminants, such as non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs).
