Yolanda Anita Sanchez is a Communications Specialist for the US Environmental Protection Agency in Region 9 in San Francisco, CA.
Yolanda Sanchez will discuss her work as a community Involvement Coordinator for EPA’s hazardous waste cleanup program (known as Superfund). Yolanda has supported mining sites in Nevada, Arizona, and California, industrial and pesticide sites in Los Angeles, and a naval shipyard in San Francisco. She started working for EPA headquarters (Washington, DC) in 2007 after earning her M.S. degree in environmental health and M.P.A at the University of Washington in 2007. In 2014, Yolanda moved across the country with her husband and her dog Vader to join EPA Region 9 in San Francisco.
